annlaura
I just read the forward of The Reading Promise, by Alice Ozma. I was genuinely touched. Curious if anyone has read it yet, and if so any thoughts. (I know it's just been released, but sometimes people get early copies, and some of you read very quickly. ;) )

PollyOR
Annlaura, I just finished this book. Sadly enough I bought it at a Borders going out of business sale for a couple of bucks. I liked it though I admit it wasn't what I expected when I read the title. It was more of a "single, quirky man raises pre-teen/teen" than "how reading to your child will solve all of their problems" type of story. I plan to share it with my oldest (24). It made me wonder what she would write about us ;).
annlaura
Thank you! It does sound different than I expected, but I think I will still read it at some point. Appreciate the review. :001_smile:
