Sun
I get Bionaturae brand locally. They have tomato paste and strained tomatoes (like puree) in glass bottles. http://www.amazon.com/Bionaturae-Organic-Strained-Tomatoes-6x24/dp/B001HTI24E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1303965649&sr=8-2 http://www.amazon.com/Bionaturae-Organic-Tomato-Paste-12x7/dp/B001HTIPU0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=grocery&qid=1303965557&sr=8-

Sometimes they have a free shipping coupon: http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/organic_tomato.htm It's nice to have the glass jar because you can use part of the jar and put it in the frig to use later w/o having to transfer it to another container. flyingiguana
Last Muir Glen and Food Club cans of tomatoes that I opened did not have the white coating on the inside. I don't know if this means they're BPA free or just trying to look that way. Yes, Food Club. But Muir Glen has some news out about it, so it's more likely that's really legit: http://www.eatallaboutit.com/2011/01/19/when-will-muir-glen-tomatoes-be-bpa-free/ From the company itself: http://www.muirglen.com/news/n-10.aspx But it seems all the cans already on the shelf have to sell first, so you may or may not get a can that is BPA free. The BPA free ones are not labelled. Edited April 28, 2011 by flyingiguana
Sevilla
Eden brand is BPA-free and organic. AFAIK, it is only their plain organic beans that are BPA-free because there is currently no FDA-approved food can lining for tomatoes (which are very acidic and more difficult to line safely b/c of this). http://www.edenfoods.com/faqs/view.php?categories_id=6#faq48 We use POMI tomatoes b/c that's the only non-can option (there used to be an organic brand of boxed aseptic container tomatoes but those were discontinued, but I loved them! It was by Pacific Foods IIRC).
Miss Peregrine
Can your own? That's what we do! I would love to. I have never been able to grow tomatoes for some reason. I have tried for years. One time I got 1 tomato. I think it cost me around $100! The grocery store tomatoes taste like nothing.
