KrissiK
What kind of lined paper does your 3rd grader write on? My first & second graders still write on that kind with the dots down the middle of it, but I'm thinking next year for DS1, he should probably just use the regular paper. When do you transition? Chris in VA
Dd went to public school for 3rd. They used wide ruled (not college ruled), regular notebook paper. Worked great--no real "transition" needed.

NorCalMom
KrissiK - I see your location is in the Central Valley. Do you mind me asking what area? We're in Oakdale. :)

NorCalMom
We are southeast of Fresno. Small farming town - Reedley! I know right where that is. :) Hubby does business down that way often. Just curious - have yet to "meet" in WTMers in my area.

We've been using HWT 3rd grade cursive. By mid year the lines had become too wide for comfort. They get along fine either filling out blanks or using wide ruled paper. Once the kids can form their letters, it is tedious to write on the wide lines. I tried it a couple of times. Boy was that painful! Karen in CO
At first grade we switch to wide ruled. At third, we transition to college ruled. During the course of a day, we use whichever we can find.
