Sahmqui
How do you find a Skype tutor? Its time for me to out source two subjects but we can not leave the nest. I need a reading teacher to take over lessons for DS and a language teacher for DD dialect. Due to our schedule it would be great to have a online tutor for this, I figure its cheaper then having someone come over to do it. Thanks for any assistance. ~Qui

Jann in TX
When my classes were smaller I used http://www.vyew.com for the online interface. I could upload documents and use a 'whiteboard'. It supports VOIP (headphones with microphones) and phone conferencing. There is a video option too--but we did not use that. Vyew.com is FREE for up to 5 people in the same room. I currently use http://www.Webex.com with my online classes--but it is $50 per month... Vyew is fast and easy to set up-- no software needed-- works with Mac and PC...good sound and decent picture (like Skype). Using headphones is MUCH better than using built in speakers and mics because of the 'echo' reduction.
KellyT01
In what subjects? We use a Spanish tutor through 121Spanish. Do you still use 121? I'm considering this for dd11 next year. Do I send them a curriculum or do they have one? Thanks for your help!
BriannaG
Check out http://www.verbalplanet.com for a tutor in Korean. They have search functions according to various things like ratings of the tutors, number of lessons taught, etc. Some even do the first lesson for free and you can see if you like that individual. I checked it out for French and Italian and found a range of about $10.00 on the fee's charged. I haven't used it personally, so you'll have to check into it some more. It was research for my kids future language lessons in the next couple of years. I found out about the website in a discussion on the bilingual education board.
