kiwi3129
For those of you who have used ETC, is the teacher's manual necessary and/or helpful? Or are the student workbooks sufficient? Thanks, Kim
blzark
I have only used Get ready, Get set, Go for the Code. With those, I have only used the teacher's manual for the instructions for the listen and follow the directions pages. There are one of these pages for each letter. The instructions describe one of the pictures, then have the child point to the picture, say the name, sound it begins with, and then the tm tells the child what to do to the picture, i.e. colour it red, draw a box around it, add a hat to it etc..... Narrow Gate Academy
I've used ETC books 1-4 so far this year. I didn't purchase any of the teacher's manuals and have found the workbooks to be sufficient for us. HTH

tammyw
I just purchased Explode the Code online version for my almost 5 year old. Does anyone know if I should buy books to go along with that? Or is the online version a stand-alone product? We just started using it (bought it from the Homeschool Buyer's Co-Op for half price). We have Bob books that we used with my daughter. Am thinking I need to just start reading more of those with him?
