WRTR, SWR, AAS users---Were these worthwhile long term?

Recommended Posts

I am looking for the high school/distance perspective on these programs as I am considering starting one with my young children. If you used one of these programs,

1. Why did you find it worthwhile long term?

2. Did your student find HS subjects/testing easier because of this foundation?

3. Did you find the whole method helpful? If not what aspects would you eliminate?

4. Did you need to follow the outline rigidly for success or did you pick and choose aspects of the program?

I am wondering whether the methods may be abbreviated without significant learning loss. Such as teach handwriting, phonograms and rules but not the style of writing the words according to the rules (separating syllables, sounds, underlining).

Thanks for replying and congratulations on nearing graduation.
