athomemom
I am considering this program (either Life or Heaven & Earth). I must admit that the other programs look equally good. My other options are: BJU, A Beka, or Apologia for 7th grade. Are the God's Design series meaty enough for middle school? All opinions appreciated. Sue G in PA
I have only used the Life series but, IMO it is meaty enough. HOD also schedules the Weather book from the Heaven and Earth in the RtR program which is geared toward the 10-12 age range. I will be using that with my ds13 next year. 3byzaz
I think so. We have done Heaven and Earth and Life. I am planning on Physical World for 7th and the Chem one for 8th. I am going to have my son (who is not Science loving) do all the "green" sections, write the vocab words out and do all the 'brown' questions. I might have him do one paper for each book in addition with extra research on an area of interest he could choose.
Rosyl
I am going to use this for my 7th grader. I will be using the 3 books for chemistry. I think it might need extra research or outlining with it. These books are gentle and I have learned from them. I think they will be a gentle intro to middle school. It doesn't have to be rigorous to be effective. athomemom
Thanks for the replies. This helps me a great deal. The books are visually appealing and we are ALL so visual here. :001_smile:
