Halcyon
so does it matter if i get DQ on my ipad (kindle) or is it better for this study to do it with an actual book in hand? (promise i wont use the audio book I already own haha) I debated that but ended up getting a hard copy, which i much prefer. I need to refer back often, I like making notes in the margins, and want this copy to be passed on to my kids when it's time for them to read it. So I shelled out the 10 bucks for the Penguin Classics copy.

Beach Mom
I want to play, this book has been taunting me since I bought it and put it in my beach bag last summer. I trudged through the first couple chapters but then abandoned it in favor of beach conversations and other summer reading. I feel guilt each time I see it. Accountability is good.......off to join the yahoo group.:auto:

AvasMom
I have just begun Don Quixote, and would love to find an online friend or three who would like to go through the books with me, set up a reading plan and have email discussion. Anyone interested? I'm actually sitting here listening to the mp3 on educating ourselves. I blew the dust off my copy of WEM and got on here to see if any discussion groups were here. lol! I'm interested!

AvasMom
Got it! I posted looking for someone who wants to do history first and tackle Herodotus but I can give Don Quixote a go too. I've read the first 3 books on the novel list.

Satori
Joining up. I read WEM about a year ago and started with Epic of Gilgamesh. I have been meaning to read DQ but I already read it in college, so I figured I'd do that later. This year would be a good time. I got the Kindle version, as that's the only method that I read novels now. I got the $10 Penguin Classics version.

scrapbookbuzz
Sounds like a wonderful thing to do! If I weren't already so crunched for time, I would join you. However, I'm working on writing a short story for publication, a novel for publication, schooling, housekeeping (HA), and running a business. Wait. There's gotta be time in there somewhere right? :p
