Algebra, pre-algebra, using metric system?

Recommended Posts

I was considering getting Lial for my son, but I wonder whether it's using the metric system or not? (whenever there are examples that need a measurement system, of course).

I'm not interested in getting a book that's referencing the imperial system. (oh, and British spelling would be a plus too, but I could live with American spelling).

What about Foerster?

I don't know if it will help you, but you might want to poke around here for some notion of content. Sorry I can't answer directly.

Singapore Math uses the metric system and British spelling.....

yeah, for now, I think I'll settle on Singapore Math. Please tell me it's a decent program for high schoolers! I don't need to follow any govt curriculum so I don't care if things are done out of order compared to the local school. My son will also be doing the local curriculum to learn all the French terms anyway. But it's so watered down that I need to 'feed' him decent math!
