Favorite free curriculum/educational aid?

For us- the library is the best free resource we have.


For more specific things I guess it would really depend on what age group you have in mind. I have younger children and we love Starfall. That website has been such a great tool for us. I always recommend it to friends.

Khan Academy, Hands down!!


Math, science, and so much more!


Second choice for us would be our local public library-- the children's librarian and the reference librarians there are just fantastic people, and the "climate" there is really welcoming :)

My kids really like this one. It is great for learning the states, countries, and much more.


We also go to http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/. Each day to see what amazing astronomy photo they have posted that day.


I will second http://www.SpellingCity.com

It is effective for practicing spelling words and the kids enjoy it.



I was thrilled to find this one and my kids enjoyed it for years before they outgrew it. :-)
