warriormom
What do you plan to use after GSWS? I am considering this program, but the only drawback I see is that there is no second book in this series for spanish. Any suggestions?
mazakaal
I'm using GSWS with my kids right now, and I think it's great. But I don't think I'd use it with a 5yo. My youngest started the program when he was 6yo, and while he's learned a lot, I think a large part of that is because he's hearing his older siblings and following along with them. On his own, I think he would have really struggled with it. I'm planning (I think) on using La Clase Divertida next year, which might be more age appropriate for a 5yo. I don't know. You'd need to check out their web site.
warriormom
Do you think it might be ok with a 5 year old who's father is spanish speaking (bilingual)?
mazakaal
I don't know. None of my kids would have done it on their own (without a sibling) at that age without a lot of complaining. The only way I could get ds to sit for it was because we were all doing it together. If it's a special thing that he's doing with dad, it might work.
