LizzyBee
Since there have been a lot of questions about math lately, I thought I'd post this information. I've heard good things about Making Math Real, a math curriculum that is based on OG principles. Unfortunately, it's not laid out in a way that it can be used without going to training, and the training sessions are in California. However, he has some articles, conference handouts, and video on the website that might be helpful if you have a child who struggles with math. Just from a quick look, I didn't find any free video, but there's a DVD for $10. It was discussed on a yahoo group, and someone said it has real information for teaching math; it's not just a sales pitch for the curriculum. Apparently, the author has said that he'd like to write his materials in a manner similar to Barton Reading to make them more accessible, but he hasn't had time to do so yet. The website is http://www.makingmathreal.org.
