AmericanMom
Memoria Press has a new US history offering that I think I am going to use next year as a spine to our history studies. They basically edited 2 Guerber books together then made up a book of questions to go along with it. For US government, I usually use whatever I can find at the library, different topics each year. Tohru
Some one recommended this from this board...I can't remember who though or I'd send them virtual flowers. Anyway, we bought it and I think it's fantastic, plus my son likes that it is short and to the point. He's had great retention with it so far too. However I can't imagine why the price on it is so ridiculous right now. I think I paid around $15-$20 a few months ago.
Jane Elliot
For U.S. Government we have used and liked Our Living Constitution: Then and Now. This is recommended in WTM for 8th grade/Modern.
Miss Marple
For U.S. Government we have used and liked Our Living Constitution: Then and Now. This is recommended in WTM for 8th grade/Modern. :iagree: We also used CLP's The Land of Fair Play. Land of Fair Play was the text our co-op used but I added in some of Our Living Constitution. Both are excellent, IMO. Edited March 15, 2011 by CynthiaOK
lisabees
Ds is enjoying Keeping the Republic and Clued into Politics. We are matching it up with Oak Meadow's questions/projects. He also uses Americans Governing. ETA: Forgot this was for logic stage. Ds uses it for AP govt. Edited March 15, 2011 by lisabees
missmoe
For government we use a basic text and the three citizenship merit badge books from the Boy Scouts.
