rebeccabillington
can anyone suggest some great fun stuff for me? I am about to place a Rainbow order and want to get some fun stuff. Not necessarily educational, just FUN! Stuff for a 1st grader mainly, but looking for suggestions for older kids too.
Guest
The stuff on my order that I consider "fun"- Microscope (we're getting a big one, but they have some neat handheld ones you take outside that are inexpensive) Let's Read & Find Out books and Rookie Read-Aloud science books (Yes, books are FUN in our house...) Playground balls This is for my 1st grader. I was also looking at some board games.
almondbutterandjelly
My dd (and all the neighbor children) love our tetherball game! School Specialty carries it, and locally you could possibly pick it up from Toys R Us, Academy or Target.

blakereese
I would definitely suggest their placemats. Yeh, they are usually educational, but my kids also think they are FUN! :001_smile: We have Presidents, money, solar system, a couple math ones, phonics....probably more but I can't think of them. I always add a couple when I place an order.

mom2boys030507
My Kids love Funtastic Frogs, the Lauri Puzzles, Chocolate Fix and Pattern Blocks.
mom2bee
If you want fun without education, go to Toys R Us and see what you like that catches your eye or that your child will enjoy. Then you can get a good idea of what the toy is like, and Toys R Us does have some educational toys also, so you might find something thats both. PS. Tetherball is A.W.E.S.O.M.E, in my humble opinion...
