blondeviolin
We've been doing Funnix. I just received most of the books for FIAR vol 2 and the manual for it. A lot of the books in vol 2 are spring/summer themed. BUT, I am also having a baby at the end of May/beginning of June. I don't anticipate any problem with baby/delivery, but you never know. My oldest will be 5 at the end of May as well. We'll eventually add in RS Level A somewhere in there too. So, do I start now seeing as a lot of these books are spring/summer themed...or do I wait because I'm having a baby and the school year doesn't really start until August? WWYD? Guest
I would start now. Also join the FIAR forum board for sure. http://www.fiarhq.com/~gbprnhrz/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=
Holly
I also say start now! We had some unexpected issues when my youngest was born (nothing too serious), and it delayed school...well most of last year.
Guest RecumbentHeart
I would start now and just go with the flow - have whatever fun you can, take off what you have to. :)
DawnL
I would start now and just go with the flow - have whatever fun you can, take off what you have to. :) :iagree: If you have to stop, the world won't end. And it's not like you wouldn't be able to pick it all up again. Just curious....are you buying all the books, or utilizing the public library? My youngest will be 5 in September and I plan on using FIAR Book 1 for him. I'm never good at getting specific books for a specific time from the library, so I'm trying to buy all the books now. I am 3/4 there, with just a few left to buy. Then I've got to obtain FIAR Book 2 and those books for next spring. I guess I'm just being nosy in trying see what "everyone else" is doing :D
....
We accidentally started Kindergarten last February after visiting a homeschool book store. My daughter had a really fun year and is ready for 1st grade work now. :D Yeah, just start.
In the Rain
Four year olds can really get into FIAR. I'd start now and enjoy it!
blondeviolin
Thanks everyone! I guess I'll start planning things out! I'm excited! :) :iagree: If you have to stop, the world won't end. I guess I'm just being nosy in trying see what "everyone else" is doing :D Dawn, I bought most of the books through Rainbow Resource and their literature package. Our library has many of the titles, but they are not very kid-friendly (a shame) so we don't frequent it like I'd like. I'm thinking if we finish vol 2 early, though, we'll go back to vol. 1 and row those books. In the event that I can't afford to buy all those, then I'll just brave using the library.
