Miss Peregrine
I have been looking for a place to buy locally-grown organic produce and I finally came across one sort of in my area. It would take about 40 minutes to get there. So I struggled with wanting to join and knowing that spending the money on gas and the time spent would not be something I want to do every week. I learned that several people in my area are a part of this co-op and they take turns driving down to pick up everyone's produce! This makes me so happy, not only because I won't have to drive every week but because people working together to accomplish a goal is a good thing! :grouphug: Plus, one of the members organizes a buying club so I have joined that, too. Anyway, that is my Saturday excitement! :)
Doran
This, I believe, is the only way to foster a healthy food future for ourselves and our children. Cooperating to make local produce more accessible. Yay!! Hooray!! Good for you!!
Jean in Newcastle
Wonderful! "I love it when a plan comes together." (That's from the A Team! - but it applies here.)
