Embassy
for insect larvae or bug rearing kits?
Celia
You can get a butterfly kit from CHER http://www.canadianhomeeducation.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=ButterflyLifeCy&Tp= , but it's pretty expensive. $45 + $30 in shipping. You need to order by April 15th. I'm considering this, but I have my ears open if anyone knows of more affordable options!
Jay3fer
Hmm... if you're not picky about what you buy, it's not specifically homeschool-related at ALL, but you could see what Natural Insect Control has available. I see ladybugs and praying mantis. You could also see what Efstonscience has available. OR, perhaps one of the US places will ship here. Rainbow has a range of life science / zoology kits, and I've bought a ton from them, but I don't know if they ship living stuff over the border; there may be special restrictions I don't know about. You could also always (shhh...) make your own ant colony (here's ours!), worm farm, or something else on the cheap!

Moniksca
I did find butterfly kits available at Boreal. They also have owl pellets I've been looking for. If you sign up for their newsletter they always have some kind of discount for purchases over $50.
mommy4ever
I have a lady here where we live that has the butterfly kits, $20 :), but the I don't need to have it shipped, so it's reasonable. Scholars Choice and the Education Station will order kits at certain times of the year.
