Did anyone enjoy Catherine Woolley books when they were girls?

Recommended Posts

I loved them, and so did my dd when I introduced her to them.

I used to read A Room for Cathy over and over. I still have a very well-read paperback version of that book. I used to dream of having my own room, so I guess the book spoke to me.

I read all the Ginnie books I could find. I remember one was about a cooking contest, and Ginnie and her Juniors, and one about a mystery house.

I think she also wrote a series about Libby.

These are just plain good, easy reading books.

That was a good one. I remember that Cathy's mom made her curtains out of a chintz fabric. Isn't it funny how things stick in your head?

I have Ginnie and the Mystery Doll around here somewhere, too.
