My challenge is to try and do TOG for the cheapest that I can! :D

1. Check the Library!

So my first step was to see what my library carried. Results are pretty good! We are in YR 2 Unit 1.

Most of the LG, UG, and D books can be found at local library within a mile of my house!

R.....no luck!

I still need to check about interlibrary loans. That would cover most of the others as libraries in my area have them, just not in my county.

A lot of the R level ones are at local Christian colleges.

I will also be posting free/low cost resources as I come across them. Hopefully this will bless someone else's family. :)

Feel free to add your ideas and thoughts to save money! Just list what YR and UNIT resources are for.

Using BookMooch or any other book swap is a great resource for saving money, you just have to give up books to get books.

I scoured Goodwill(s) for books and found plenty, it's amazing what books people will give away without thought. I would look at 4 different locations and usually find the exact titles I was looking for. You have to KNOW your book list for LG UG D and R in order to do this effectively and be able to store the books.

Check with homeschool groups in your area for swap/sale notices, not always the cheapest route but better than paying for shipping and you're helping another family while helping yours.

Look on cheaper book sale sites like BookCloseouts.com for titles too.

Trying to write a Preschool/Kindergarten suppliment for my TOG YR2. :)

Been busy searching!

I'd love to know if you decide to share this. I hope to start TOG with my kids in the fall and we'll be doing Y2. I'll have a Ker, and my 4th & 2nd graders, and would love for her to get the most out of TOG, even if she is a Ker.
