HollyDay
I found this wonderful baked (lima) bean recipe. After boiling the beans until done, they are drained and mixed with brown sugar and various spices, then cooked for 2 hours at 300 in the oven. I'd rather not run my gas oven for 2 hours ($$), especially with it supposed to be 80 degrees tomorrow. So, could I use the crockpot and cook on high for 2 hours or so? iamrachelle
Anything can be cooked in the crockpot. :D I would probably cook it on low for 4-5 hours....
missmoe
I agree with pp. You also want to make sure to reduce the liquid in the recipe because it will not evaporate in the slow cooker.
Forget-Me-Not
I'm sorry, you lost me when you put the words "lima bean" and "wonderful" in the same sentence. . . :D Seriously, though, yeah I'd probably just put them in the crockpot for 4-5 hours on low.
