Trish
Wondering which ones are most helpful to the parent in terms of determining not only where your kids are, but what would be most helpful to them going forward. ie determining areas of weakness/strength, and how to go about remedying or supporting any weaker areas. Basically are there tests that are more useful than others for this type of thing?

Renee in NC
Woodcock-Johnson III - Test of Achievement, hands down. It gives you a grade level (what level they actually are), percentiles based on their age/grade, and standard scores to make achievement/IQ comparisons. It will cost you $75-100, though. mommymilkies
How do you find a way to take the Woodcock-Johnson III - Test of Achievement?
Renee in NC
How do you find a way to take the Woodcock-Johnson III - Test of Achievement? You can google it for your area. If not, try educational psychologists, tutors, and tutoring centers. Here in my area of FL there aren't very many locally, but in Raleigh NC there are a ton of places that give it. I did find a couple of testers here in FL in other areas through evaluator lists.
