Do you live in the Bacon Belt?

I think it means the South. It just struck me as funny, I guess.:)

This reminds me: today I asked my son to write an original sentence from his list of SWR words. When I went to check his work, it said

"The bacon and the broken bird are just outside the door."

I asked him why he wrote that, and he said it was a plea for Magritte to paint the scene.

Hmmmmmm.

BTW, to me the "bacon belt" is a swath of richer houses in suburbia, like a crescent around the western edge of town.
