GWOB
...when your 10yo is reading Alice in Wonderland to your 3yo. Your son was reading Celebrate the 50 States and getting really excited. Now they are making crafts for their Grandma, whose birthday is today. This counts as school, right?

kidsnbooks8
Yes, it counts:) I find my kids thrive when I get the heck out of the way. :iagree: Yesterday, my girls(8 and 10) made some scenery and paper dolls, a model of Noah's Ark, colored pictures to go with History and Bible stories, played with Spanish cards, made lunch for everyone, played outside and watched little brothers(this was all on their own). They also played Parts of Speech Bingo(with mom), read stories to each other and played Math War (addition, subtraction and multiplication) Before bed, I read to them from a Nature book and Life in the Great Ice Age. I think that just about covers everything, including home ec, childcare, getting along with others...:D Some days it is so nice to just enjoy the day;)
