Are you in a "______ of the month" club that you love?

Recommended Posts

I was thinking today it might be fun to get some kind of fun thing to talk about/play with/eat/whatever in the mail every month just to kind of liven things up around here a little. Are you in a something-or-other of the month club like that? What kinds are out there? I'd be looking for something fun for the whole family rather than something targeted at a limited age-group, but we do have quite varied interests, and quirky would be fine. Actually, quirky would be fun. Any suggestions?

We don't do it every month, but we like the Cheese of the Month club. You can order just a couple of months if you want. The cheeses are fantastic, and they include a newsletter each month talking about the selections for that month.

Oh my kids love cheese.

ETA: Ok...so I just googled "cheese of the month" and it looks like there are a gajillion. Which one is the one you use and like?

My dad has recently mentioned that he feels as if he's been drinking too much beer since mom died last month, so he's switching to root beer.

I found out that there is a Root Beer Store near me and they have a RB of the Month club. I'm going to stop there tomorrow afternoon and purchase a membership for him.

I hope it will be an encouragement for him, and a fun way to find a new favorite.

My son enjoyed these: Weird and Wild Creatures

And I enjoy these: The Classic Composers

I gave a cheese-of-the-month club from iGourmet as a gift, and it was very well received. They also included a description of the cheeses and their history.

If I was getting a club for my family, I'd be tempted to get a chocolate of the month. We would ALL like that :D
