5knights3maidens
Do you think there should be more lapbooks for children who can't write yet. Like cut and paste the words/sentences and pictures; Maybe even trace the sentences the are already "written" in the booklets?
SnMomof7
In short - yes. My children really like crafting lapbooks, and my oldest didn't really get into writing until she was 7. BUT we don't like tracing :(. Just cutting and pasting, pre-written sentences, or dictating to mom are better options.
lexi
I second Jennifer's response. We like to cut and paste pictures, words, and sentences but my daughter does not like tracing. She will dictate short sentences to me but the cut and paste lapbooks are perfect for us at this phase. :)
EmeraldGirl
Yes, actually I am looking at the Scholastic dollar download sale right now and the Easy Mark & Learn book for the Human body seemed more of exactly what you are talking about. I could view each and every page of the book. However, the site is moving at a snail's pace so I haven't been able to purchase that or view anything else. In other lapbooks, we usually draw a similar picture as the cutout or related to that flap theme. And since they are learning to write, we might choose a simple word for them to sound out. So if the flap is about a part of the body, we might only write that particular part's name/word (ie. mouth), and then we talk about the information (narrarate) but I don't write what they tell me.
