wimseycat Posted February 9, 2011 Share Posted February 9, 2011 I am looking at these two curriculums for next year for my DD's 8 and 10. We have been using K12 from a virtual school but are switching back to traditional hs'ing next year. I have no experience with either MCT or Harvey and was wondering if anyone can give me any BTDT info. I like the look and plan of MCT but it is expensive (especially if it turns out to be a mistake for us). Harvey is cheaper but looks a little antiquated for my liking. My DD10 would probably use MCT Town and DD8 would use Island. It looks a little simplistic but my DD8 has a defeatist attitude towards much of her school so I thought if we went a little slower she would get more of a sense of achievement and "turn that frown upside down..."
