ElizabethB Posted February 9, 2011 Share Posted February 9, 2011 Cute readers with word family guessing warning/disclaimer These are cute, a series of phonics readers called "The Rhyming Reader." However, some of my remedial students started guessing from the word family pattern when I used to use Alpha-Phonics. (I switched to using it across the page instead of down to prevent word family guessing.) I'm actually not a big fan of any readers, I just like to work on phonics and spelling until my students can read anything, but these are nice if you're going to use readers, I know many people here are always looking for resources like this.
