HappyGrace
This is for a 10 and 7 yr old-the search engine on Netflix stinks and I have no idea how to find good nonfiction stuff on there! Thanks!
Paula Miles
IDK, just wanted to say that we used to watch Liberty's Kids with our now 12 yr old! He was super excited when we found out the whole series was available from Netflix. Now we can share it with our 7 yr old too ;) Also, you can search out PBS documentaries which we have loved watching.
greenmamato3
we liked those, too. we just watched "national geo's secrets of yosemite" today; we've also seen the "greece: secrets of the past" and we liked the one on lewis and clark .... we use netflix for so much. oh, we found some of legends like johnny appleseed .... a lot of the DK eyewitness dvds are on there. is this what you meant?
Shellydon
oohh, I didn't know that there were some DK eyewitness videos on Netflix. Thanks!
Kalmia
Netflix's search engine is TERRIBLE!!!!! I usually search for titles on Amazon and then plug the titles into Netflix, about half of them are there. Documentaries don't seem to be a strong point with Netflix. My son has been enjoying Decisive Battles of the Ancient World.
helena
We enjoyed Rough Science. :lurk5:

Kalmia
Just a note that Decisive Battles of the Ancient World is probably better for older children (late middle-high school) due to some of its content. I see you have a 7 year old. oops.
Holly
We haven't watched it yet, but I just found a documentary on the Amish. It looked interesting and I think it was in a family-friendly section. My DD usually watches Garfield or Scooby Do....I really need to find some better shows for her! guateangel
Thanks! We, unfortunately, are having a sick day, so now I'm going to have dd watch Liberty Kids (instead of playing my ipod in her bed.) I had no idea this was on Netflix. :)
