Susan in TN
Is there a way to mail money to a person that would be completely anonymous? I mean, if they saw a postmark from our area, they would know it was from us... Any suggestions?
K&Rs Mom
Are you going anywhere soon that you could mail it from with a different mark? Or could you mail a sealed & addressed envelope to someone far and have them mail it for you?
Hwin
I have used Fed Ex and just stuck an address from another state on it.
Tap
Is the recipient part of a church or other trustworthy community organization? Maybe you could contact someone there and have them act as a liason.
ChrisB
We've given anonymously through their church.
Margo out of lurking
I don't know if this would work, but could you get a new email address and PayPal it via email?
Susan in TN
Thanks Everyone - these are some great ideas!
Heidi @ Mt Hope
Yes, yes, yes!! Check out Giving Anonymously. The founders are a really neat homeschooling family. You pay Giving Anon and give them the information where you want the money sent. They call the recipient to make sure the info is correct and have them accept the money, then send a check to the recipient. The service is free, though you can donate to Giving Anon at the same time if you feel so led. It works very quickly and efficiently! Oh, and the recipients are given the chance to record a thank you message which is then sent in MP3 format to the giver.

I have been trying to find a way to give some money to a coworker of my DH who has a special needs son and no support from the father. Thanks so much for sharing this! Skadi
Thanks for sharing that site, Heidi! Right now, my DH and I are more in a position to be receiving than giving (DH between jobs, I'm working part time), but I've bookmarked it and will definitely be passing something on as soon as we're able.
