BeckyFL
What does it mean if a teenage girl (14 yo) puts Married to: (another girl's name) in her relationship status? I'm confused.
Wheres Toto
Probably just playing around. My dd does that occasionally with her closest friends. She also has 16 siblings according to her facebook.
Aunty Social
It usually just means that they are best friends. It's the new thing.
----
echoing the best friend thing. My nieces (13 and 14) are both "married" according to FB and each has a gazillion siblings too.
Barb_
It usually just means that they are best friends. It's the new thing. :iagree: except that it's not all that new. I was "married" to my best friend back in 1982. We had a ceremony and everything at a slumber party. The host of the party officiated. Just girls being silly--no deeper meaning. LidiyaDawn
Yep, they're just playing around and are likely good friends. Dd14 has a pile of siblings that dh and I don't remember having.
Jumping In Puddles
Boys do it too. They think it's hilarious.

Lolly
yeah, they have spouses (of either gender), children, extra siblings, parents, even an occasional pet who are actually just close friends...I've decided it is the junior/high school form of playing house like they did in preschool.
