Cricket
Over a year ago a retired teacher gave me a bunch of stuff. Lots of books and two 5-gallon buckets full of blocks and other odd things. A couple of months ago I cleared out the closet and took many of those blocks to Goodwill. Some were plastic and different colors and different shapes. Guess what they were?!? SAXON MANIPULATIVES! ugh. I feel sick to my stomach. After homeschooling for 7 years you would think I would have known. We've always used Singapore for the early grades but I got a Saxon K book at a garage sale and thought I would use with my 4 yo next year. I never should have looked online at Saxon materials. At least I might have made another homeschool mom very happy. :001_unsure:
3peasinapod
Awww man!!! You know, I really ought to stop by Goodwill, I hear of people every once in a while finding some nice gems there! It's supposed to snow here tonight, so maybe when I go to the library I'll stop by and see if I can hit the mother load! :tongue_smilie:
Margo out of lurking
At least I might have made another homeschool mom very happy. :001_unsure: Yes, I am SURE you did and that someone was happily blessed at such a great find! :grouphug: It may have come at the perfect time for them, making it possible for them to used Saxon as they'd hoped.
