K- 1st Public School Math Curriculum: Have your children used these?

Recommended Posts

Our school district uses McGraw Hill Growing with Mathematics for K-5. It is traditional math and I really like it as far as school math programs go. It covers many (if not all) of the same topics you would find in homeschool math programs - matching patterns, number lines, traditional addition and subtraction operations. I think you would be very pleased as a parent with this program. I can't help you with the other though, as our district sticks with McGraw throughout elementary school.

You can also call or go down to the district office and make an appointment to see the curriculum. Most districts are happy to meet with parents, let you look over the curriculum for certain grades and answer any questions you might have. I did this last year with very successful results. Most school districts like involved parents as long as they are polite and professional :).
