strawberry
DS is doing Latina Christiana I in a co-op this year, but you guys have convinced me to look into Latin for Children. Who knows if Primer A or B would be better?
Dmmetler
I have a little one who LOVES Latin. We did SSL first, and then moved into LfC A. She LOVES the chants and loves learning the words, and has grasped some of the grammar, mostly via Headventure. We've done none of the writing yet. We use Minimus (and Minimus Secundus) along with LfC, one chapter LFC/one chapter Minimus) to stretch out the vocabulary and to give DD some reading practice. So far, there have been almost no words in Minimus that she hasn't already known from SSL/LFC, and she's loving the story. I bought CLC A, and my plan is to continue to combine the CLC Whole-part and LfC Part-Whole programs together. I'm not worried about getting through either in 3-4 years. Actually, I'd be thrilled if the two together take her until middle school, when she'll presumably be able to go into "real" Latin.
