HollyDay
I'm making Hawaiian chicken for dinner and don't particularly want to serve rice. What would be a good substitute? Barely? Quinoa? Black beans? Red Beans?
Tess in the Burbs
not sure what your Hawaiian chicken is like but we serve ours with mashed potatoes :-) The sauce is such a good gravy!

blessed3x
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Hawaiian-Chicken/Detail.aspx I always serve ours with rice, even though you said you didn't want rice. Maybe some roasted red potatoes?

Margo out of lurking
I missed dinner, but my vote would be for couscous. It comes in a box near the rice. I don't know if it's available any other way, but it's easier to fix than Minute Rice (which I've never been able to master, although I'm a decent cook). Blueridge
Rice pilaf would be another choice. Easy, made with a combo of brown and wild rices, cooked in chicken broth, and added garlic, onion, and maybe a few green peas or carrots, even a few water chestnuts, that were all sauteed in olive oil. Yum!
