RainbowSprinkles
We've just found out we're expecting baby #4 in October. Looking ahead to next school year, I think all my choices will still work out... except for Science. I was going to order Real Science Chemistry, but I don't think I will be able to be so hands-on in Science for the first few months after the baby is born. Now I'm not sure what to do for Science. I really wanted to do Chemistry, but I want to able to do experiments so I'm going to save it for the year after next. What should I do for the upcoming year?? We are doing Elemental Science Biology right now. I saw a couple of nice Nature Study books at the Queen Homeschool website... anyone used them yet? Or any other suggestions? michelle l
You could check out the Apologia books. You could also look at Ambleside for some of their suggestions for living books and just go that route until you're feeling more up the the hands-on stuff. LittleIzumi
Ds is not quite 4 months and we've been using BFSU. :)
blakereese
Congrats!!!! Why don't you just take off the first semester, and start science the second half of the school year? Just do some living books or follow some interests until you can get back into experiments and all that. (Oh, and I am doing BFSU too, started when my DS was about 9 months :D)

Mallory
While YMMV, I think science with a newborn is a lot easier then science with a 1yo or 2yo :tongue_smilie: I'd plan a hands on for next year, but not the next two.

Yeh, that! I've been trying to take advantage of having a newborn/baby, instead of a toddler!! Things are about to get real interesting here!:tongue_smilie:
