emcap
I am so lost.... Okay so maybe it's not that bad, but nevertheless... I just finished the BBC Robin Hood series with Jonas Armstrong, before that it was North and South and before that the BBC pride and prejudice. I really enjoy that type of movie/series. I want it to be instant on netflix and clean (no sex, profanity etc.) Recommendations, purty please? My hubby's working late tonight. Guest Dulcimeramy
Youtube has all of Lark Rise to Candleford! Look for user/channel "xlarkrisetocandleford" and start with season 1, episode 1. You can go to her channel to watch them so the backround images are 'clean.'

Margaret in GA
I agree with Katia, but it's not available for instant viewing at Netflix. So--tonight I think you should watch Jodhaa Akbar http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/Jodhaa_Akbar/70090035?trkid=2429437#height2090 I loooved it. Disclaimer: it's full of Bollywood cheese (singing and dancing throughout). But, it's nice and long and really a good story (at least as far as Bollywood goes) and while Romantic, it follows the Indian cinema guidelines of no nudity and very little physicality. Go for it! i.love.lucy
In instant there are less choice, but I found a few: Daniel Deronda The Madness of King George (don't know about cleanliness) Buccaneers Little Dorrit (I LOVED the recent version, but the instant one is from the 80s) Howards End Age of Innocence Vanity Fair Wuthering Heights (2009) Richard III (has an R rating though - not sure what for) Jane Eyre (1983) The Way We Live Now The blue are the ones I think you will especially like! HTH! Edited January 31, 2011 by i.love.lucy

Laura Corin
A Room With a View. There's one scene where you get a rear view of a couple of male actors bathing naked in a pond. It's not in the least sexual. Laura
Erica in OR
I recommend Cranford, another BBC production. I recently rewatched it. Erica in OR

MeaganS
I vote for Doctor Who, but maybe that's because I just discovered it and it may be one of my most favorite shows of all time. And I like the movies/shows you said you've watched. And it's British... :001_smile:
