Ohdanigirl
Just wondering how those of you who do this approach it. What do you include? How do you decide what to keep out? How do you have your dc learn it? Do you add dates as you get to them in History, or do you just hand them a list? I have been considering including more dates in the memory work for two of my younger dc. They really like doing memory work and tend to get through anything thrown at them very quickly. Even lists, like wars, presidents, etc get memorized in a matter of days, with only one read through a day. Plus they love reciting their memory work for daddy when he gets home. I know many of you do the classical conversations, but I am in Mexico (no option for that here). Thanks. Danielle
EKS
Just a question--How long do they retain what they've memorized if it is not continually reinforced?
Ohdanigirl
Actually, we use a binder as suggested in Living Memory. I haven't had any problems with them ever forgetting anything. Here, memory work is linked to their studies. Not sure how it works for others. Danielle
Amy Jo
I'm interested in this too. I've seen the youtube presentations of the CC timeline, and they vary in whether dates are included.
