wy_kid_wrangler04
We have new neighbors. My 2 ds's were playing outside earlier and the new neighbors yelled outside their front door to them "If we see you playing outside again we are going to let our pet mountain lion eat you" in a mean voice.  My ds's were in MY yard, not even near the fence that seperates the two properties. Now my 4 year old ds is so scared he will not even go near the windows in my house  :cursing: WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE???? Why would you scare a 4 year old and a 6 year old so bad that they are scared to leave their house and go near the windows in their own house??? :banghead:

wy_kid_wrangler04
Is there something legally that could be done if they keep scaring my sons like this??? I mean my poor 4 year old is in hysterics. My 6 year old has been so jumpy. Any noise and he about jumps out of his skin and gets scared asking if the mountain lion is outside. We tried explaining to them that there is no way these people have a mountain lion because people can not keep wild animals as pets, but they are still scared to death. UGH I wonder if your state has a law against terroristic threat and acts. Not so much like terrorism we see with radicals, but scaring the bejeezus out of someone. I know Georgia has one since that was where I was a police officer. What you described would fall under that law. Call the non -emergency police number and see if anything can be done. Cricket
How old are these neighbors? Did you hear them say it? Is it possible they were trying to be funny and not trying to scare them? Mergath
I would so call the police over that. Maybe it's the PMS talking, but that would royally piss me off. wy_kid_wrangler04
Ok... so the sheriff was just here. He also was concerned about the mountain lion and is paying them a visit :D He said that its not "illegal" to scare a child like this (though it did really REALLY upset him) he did say he would be more than willing to scare the people as much as legally possible about those actions and ask them how they would feel if it was there child. He said he would make sure they knew how scared my boys are because of what they said. He said if indeed there is a mountain lion in that house he would be bringing them to jail. He said he would be back after visiting with them. I will ask him to tell the boys there is no lion there when he gets back..
