UmMusa
Need some help. I'm joining in on the love over at PeaceHillPress... I am switching to FLL and to WWE for my 3rd and 4th graders. Funny thing is that I'm tempted to have both of them use Level 3. My 4th grader was recently very frustrated with adverbs and adjectives. Earlier this year he kept mixing up subjects and predicates. He knew it, but not when it came time to test it. Would starting him in FLL3 and WWE3 be safer to solidify his foundation? We could kind of double time it and be done in less than one school year. Or should I just go with FLL 4 and WWE4 and go through it slowly? WWE4 is already quite challenging, and he doesn't understand the excerpts he has to read all the time. One one hand I like the idea of pushing to read bigger words and to help him sift through the concept or main idea. On the other hand I wonder if it were toned down a bit (like in WWE3) if he's get a better hang of the skill. Any advice? I'd feel weird having my 3rd and 4th grader doing the same level. texasmama
In your shoes, I would use level 3 of both programs with both kids.
Paintedlady
I have my 4th and 5th graders using WWE 3 and FLL 4. It's about skill level, not grade number.
