lynn
Balfour charges $75 for cap, gown, tassle, diploma cover. Is this reasonable?
Tap
I paid $80 for my own in the 80's. LOL I don't know what current prices are here.
KatieJ
Sounds like it is in the ball park to me. Our cap and gown bill was always included in the bill for announcements so I don't recall for sure.
Disney Dreaming
Just had to pay sons "senior fees", they were either $80.00 or $85.00 to Balfour. This was for cap, gown, tassle, and diploma only.
Renthead Mommy
We didn't wear cap and gowns. We wore white formals and the guys wore white dinner jackets and tux pants. The local tux shop supplies everything for the guys. I'm sure they get off much cheaper. I couldn't find a dress I liked, so my mother made it from a simpler Vogue wedding dress pattern. Because we bought it as material, notions and pattern, I don't know what it cost, but it certainly was not cheaper than anything off the rack. Back then, it was easily $150 - $200 for the dress, plus shoes, hair and nails. So $75 is cheap! Oh and this was for public school.
QueenCat
The tutorial we attend charges $50 for graduation. This includes cap, gown, programs, diploma cover, cake and punch reception.
gaillardia
I paid $80 for my own in the 80's. LOL I don't know what current prices are here. Ditto, only mine was in the late 70's. Oh crud, I'm timewarping myself again. :glare: I think you are fortunate, I've heard in the hundreds ($) in other areas in the past couple of years.
