Guest
I emailed my mil to ask her if she had a grain mill (that I could borrow or maybe permanently borrow :tongue_smilie:). Surprisingly, she didn't know what I was talking about. She asked if I could use a food processor. I'm assuming that a food processor won't grind the berries fine enough to make flour. Can someone confirm this?
4everHis
I have never heard of a food processor that would grind wheat berries.
kalanamak
I'd say no, but you can knead dough in them!

prairiewindmomma
You can't grind wheat berries in a food processor or regular blender, but you can grind small amounts in a Vitamix or Blendtec blender. The flour isn't nearly as fine as you can get with a true grain mill, but it is suitable for rustic bread making. Dh uses our Blendtec when he makes ww pancakes as he hates pulling out the Nutrimill just for a few cups of flour.
