Kelly in IL Posted January 25, 2011 Share Posted January 25, 2011 I'm wondering how much writing kids should do in 4th grade on up. I'm doing BJU English and every other unit is an introduction to a different type of writing. I have read through the years though that one of the biggest weaknesses of HS kids is that they don't do enough writing. Our friends in public school seem to have lots of little papers due on a regular basis. How do you know that you're doing enough writing and enough of different types of writing? Is there a program that gives you ideas for what your children can write about on a regular basis more than teaching the process of writing (IEW has already done a great job of that)! TIA!!!
