tuckabella
So I am taking 1 Tbsp of Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar in about 8-12 oz of water each day. I can get it down no problem. It just makes my stomach feel like it is burning about a couple minutes after it is there. So then I eat some pretzels (or other carbs) and then I am fine. My question: am I cancelling the effects of ingesting the apple cider vinegar by eating the carbs too? I am taking it to raise the pH of my urine and other womanly "areas". So, what says the Hive??? Mergath
I think you're taking too much vinegar, not enough water. From what I've read, the optimal dosage for pH balancing is 2 tsp in 16 ounces of water. You could try that and see if it helps with the burning. I'm not sure if the carbs cancels out the benefits- if you're trying to cure candida, sugars feed its growth, so it might.

I am not trying to cure candida, just keep it away now that it is gone. I did know that sugar (which carbs break down into) feeds the candida, thanks though! I will try less vinegar in more water. Lightly Salted
you might also try making a salad dressing with the vinegar, olive oil and whatever seasonings you like - much more palatable that way!
