kwg
I was reading another thread and a few people mentioned this. I started it today....I have never actually finished it  I usually give up sometime in phase 2 even though I can feel positive changes :001_unsure: ANyway so I am trying to motivate myself. Anyone want to 'join' me.....encourage each other on? Somehow? I got up early today to do it and it has been nice knowing it is done for the day. I am hoping I can keep that up. Dianne-TX
I'm not doing it now, but I did it 7 years ago before I got pg with my 2nd child. I did it diligently (6 days a week following their schedule) and followed their food tiers and lost 20 pounds in 6 weeks. Best wishes on your success! You can get workout buddies at the Teambeachbody.com (there is pay and there is free, your choice). Though I am not doing Slim in 6, I still have to workout 6 days a week, too. If you click on my sig. you can find me on teambeachbody. Also, if you have a Facebook account, you can get a lot of support on the Official Fan page for Slim in 6. There is SuperGym feature which preprograms your schedule. I find that quite useful. If you get the fee based account, every time you log in your workout real-time, you are automatically entered to win a $600 sweepstakes. It's done daily. suzf242
I did it for 5 weeks a few years ago (stopped early because I was going on vacation). I lost 18 pounds and kept them off for 4 years until I got pregnant. I'd love to do it again, but I just don't have the time right now. Good luck! TheCoffeeChick
I did it about 5 years ago for 4 weeks - lost 25 lbs. and then got pregnant with dd. I got back to that weight after the pregnancy very easily. I started it back up again 2 weeks ago because I had put on 8 lbs. I've already lost the 8 lbs. and feel great. I love Slim in 6 - it is a great workout without being too much. I have about 30 more lbs to drop to get to my goal - I'll probably have to do 2 rounds of 6 weeks to get there, but that's okay. ;) I'll gladly "join" you each morning - I've been getting up early to workout too. MarinesWife
I love it so far! I've only done 4 days so far and today was my first day doing phase 2. Beforehand, I thought I wouldn't make it through the whole workout but I did! It didn't seem like 47:52 minutes. LOL Tomorrow....day 5! I haven't decided how long I'll stay in phase 2. Have any of you done the 3 days a week of the ab workout? And the Slim and lImber? I've only done the Slim and Limber once. I want to add it to my evenings or something. And the ab workout...oh I'm dreading it but will start adding it in also at a different time of day. BURN the BURN is good. I have to keep reminding myself of that. kwg
I really do love hearing all the success stories! I wanna be a success story!:D Day 2 down....it is still hard for me so I guess I need to stay here. How do you know you are ready to move on? I guess when it gets easy? ha! I must say this morning time is nice (it is quiet here!-quiet!). Too bad I get so sleepy late afternoon. I will check out that other website too. I thought since I bought it years ago my time was up for that.
MarinesWife
I did the start up for 3 days and then moved to phase 2. Did the 2nd day of that today. Burn. Burn. Burn. I can barely last through the ab work. I'm doing more than I thought I would though. Keep going!!
Lostinabook
Do you need any equipment for this workout other than the resistance band?
kwg
I do not think so. At least they say you do not; I am only in phase 2 though  I will say this- I am seeing changes. My fattest jeans are almost too big for me to wear :D It is hard for me. I have done phase 2 for a week but I am going to do it next week also bc I am still having trouble :glare: How is everyone else doing? I have to get up early -I hate to get up! but it has a nice side effect in that I get some alone time. It is so nice!!! Unfortunately yesterday the children were up early. So no alone time  I am reallllly hoping it was a fluke. Today was my off day so back to it tomorrow.
Lostinabook
Well, I bought it so hopefully I'll have the dvds by Friday & can get started. If I'm faithful with it my 6 weeks will be up at the beginning of April so here's hoping I can buy some smaller spring clothes!! That stinks re: no alone time! You should get alone time as a reward for waking up so early. :) I'll probably have to do mine in the evening since I tend to fade fast first thing in the morning. I need to have fuel. Lostinabook
Ok--they finally arrived Saturday & I did my first session yesterday. It's nice that they start out with only 33 minutes. I think I would have keeled over if there had been much more. I'm sooooo out of shape!! I also started low carbing yesterday. I'm not hungry at all, but oh how I WANT to eat something with sugar or refined flour in it!!

I could not walk normally for a few days after  Now I don't get that way though so I suppose I am getting stronger and such. I am on level 3 adn actually like that work out (except it is still really hard for me to do).
homeschoolmom
Oooh, I will! I got great results with SI6 even though it kicked my butt and I went to sleep reeking of Ben Gay most nights. I tried Burn it Up and almost died. So I continued with Ramp it Up for the balance of the weeks. I figured something was better than nothing. I really needed some motivation myself so this is timely. Going from couch to SI6 is going to be r-e-a-l-l-y tough though. Margaret

And getting up out of a chair... :tongue_smilie: I have the feeling that tonight's workout will be unpleasant. It's good to hear that you're liking the 3rd level. I'm already kind of worried about moving from the 33 min one to the hour one, but am hoping that 2 weeks of doing the shorter workout will sort of blunt the edges. Lostinabook
Did Ramp It Up for the first time tonight. Ow. I am so not in shape. I couldn't keep up & had to stop a few times. I am SO glad I didn't jump into something like P90X right away. I'd die. Tuesday is my rest day & I'm guessing I'll be glad to have it! kwg
Good timing! I lost my motivation this past week adn only did the workout a couple times. I am back though! Did it this morning. I had to stop also- it is hard. I do those lunges and after a while my legs buckle and down I go. I am not sure how people manage p90x....:001_huh:
kwg
How is it going? I am doing well. Kinda lost track of how long have been in phase 3 but I still have to rest sometimes- those lunges are hard! I am down one size I know and i *think* I am almost down another whole size. I still eat too much:tongue_smilie:

Lostinabook
Good job! I'm beginning week 4 tomorrow so only one more week until I have to start Burn It Up. I'm still not keeping up with RIU all the time so I'm not sure how the transition will go. It's kind of weird b/c when I first started RIU I had no problem keeping up with the band exercises, but now, after a week, I have a hard time completing the 3rd one. I thought I was supposed to get stronger not weaker!! Plus, I think my arms have gotten about 1/2" bigger. Sigh. On the bright side, my waist and thighs have shrunk. kwg
Cool! I did not notice any huge changes in RIU which was discouraging. But then I woke up a whole pant size smaller in the last phase  so maybe i was just not noticing it.
