renmew
I am just beginning to afterschool my kids and am looking for a math curriculum for my 7 year old. The school uses a mastery program with spiral review built in. I like the program okay, but it is a bit poor on problem solving. My son is strong in reading and spelling, but in math is not as high as I'd like him to be. I'm thinking Singapore, Horizons, or Saxon, as they seem to be the "big three." And it also has to be somewhat self directed, as I am a teacher and am usually tutoring multiple students afterschool. I'll be there to help, but I'd be doing the same for 3-5 other kids. Any help/experience would be appreciated. :bigear: Edited January 22, 2011 by renmew
Bloggermom
I would check out CLE Math. It is very self-directed.
