Mama Bear
If so, tell me all about it. I'm here, chin in hands, elbows on the table, waiting impatiently. :D I need something to use for Q's food -- puree, rinse/wash, put away, repeat. It must be tough and easy to clean as it'll be used at least twice a day. TIA! :)
Old Dominion Heather
If that is the one that you stick down in the bowl, then yes, I used to have one. I loved it so much, I burnt up the motor. It was really cool, but not so good for things like bread dough... which is how I burnt up the motor on my mixer. Is that what you are talking about? Because otherwise, what is a stick blender? Amy in Orlando
I use them to make soap. They're great things, imo. I prefer the ones where the bottom piece (the part where the blender thingie is) twists off of the top part (where the motor is) as they are much easier to clean. Oooh...I don't think they had these when I used mine all the time. I used mine for making baby food, 3 or 4 times a day. It worked great. I never used it once I didn't have babies anymore so I gave it away.
HomeOnTheRanch
We got one for a wedding gift. I have no clue where it is now. I can't imagine we gave it away, but I haven't seen it in years...perhaps it is one of those unmarked boxes in the garage. I remember liking it ok, except it was a pain to clean. I like the idea of detachable parts for cleaning. That would have been a definite plus.
Vida Winter
Yes I have one. Good for soups and smoothies. Easy to pop in the dishwasher. I think the kind I got (at a feed store, no less) is a braun, about $24 if I remember. I make a lot of soups so I use it a lot.
Doran
I have this one. But, if you're using it everyday and want to give over counterspace for the charging station, while also going cord free (but note that the attachments differ), this one might be a better choice. Worth the money, no matter which one you use. Great kitchen tool!
mom2jrcsc
I had the Kitchen Aid. Wore it out though. I asked for another for my birthday (next week). Hope I get it. Used it to make milkshakes, cream corn, pureed soups, mixing lumpy batter, etc. Can't wait to get another.
kalanamak
that goes onto the body of it, so it is a stick and a mini chopper. It is a Braun.
periwinklemommy
I use my magic bullet way more and I think it is easier to clean. In fact, I haven't used the stick blender in forever but I use the magic bullet almost every day. Lisa
Laurie
My Black and Decker "Handy Chopper" is still going strong. I used to use it to puree small servings of "whatever we were having" for baby food. It's small and easy to clean. I still use it to chop up nuts and small amounts of other stuff rather than get the big processor dirty. I've got an immersion blender, but I mostly just use it for soups. lighthouseacademy
I have a Bamix and love it.
Carol in Cal.
I find that the smooth plastic rinses almost clean so I don't care that I can't put it into the dishwasher. I find that it is not that effective at whipping eggs, but for soups it is unbeatable. It is so great not to have to transfer them out of their steaming pot to puree them. Unicorn.
That I don't have a clue what that is! I did however use my cuisenart for pureeing whatever for my dc. I also used it for my mom when she had cancer and couldn't eat. I made lot's of baby (and grandma) food w/ it. It worked great. hth

Apiphobic
Do you have a stick or immersion blender? KitchenAid KHB100ER Hand Blender I think we got it at Target though.
