WVNA
January 28th is the 25th anniversary of the space shuttle Challenger explosion. I live near a university and they are having a former astronaut who was active during that time period come in and discuss the challenger, her crew, and legacy. Before we go to hear him speak, I'd like to discuss the accident and space program in general with my kids who are currently in kindergarten and 3rd grade. Does anybody have any suggestions for web sites or videos that I could use that would be appropriate for those ages? I've searched around online and haven't found much that I like for them. Thanks. JoyfulMama
Wow - 25 years! I remember that so vividly, as Christa McAuliffe was local for us. I have a page in my middle school yearbook from that year dedicated to her and the crew of the Challenger. Resources.... I'm at a loss, but hopefully someone else will have some ideas!
