my2boysteacher
We have added Tea Time to our daily afternoon schedule to work on manners, and etiquette. My mom has a full size tea set she is going to give us for the boys and I, but I want to find a small ceramic child's size tea set for my 3 year old to use. There are so many out there, but I'd like something safe (not made in China?), washable and somewhat durable. Anyone have one they would recommend? jenn1129
it's not ceramic, but we love green toys. My daughter got her set this Christmas and it is awesome! no pvc's, bpa's,etc. and it's made in the U.S. http://www.greentoys.com/tea.html?gclid=CIb-v_K7x6YCFYHb4Aodshf2Hw

my2boysteacher
I saw that one, and love the fact that it is made in the US. I would love to find something a little 'fancier' though. If I can't, I'll get the one you mentioned. Thanks!
GoVanGogh
I found a beautiful set of small tea cups for a quarter each at our local 2nd hand shop that I started my son with. I figured I wouldn't be out much if he broke one or two. The cups are small - only hold about 1/2 cup - but a good size for small hands. Dobela
A friend of mine found dainty expresso cups and paired them with colorful saucers somewhere. They are just adorable!
my2boysteacher
Great ideas! I will check second hand stores and maybe an antique store or two?
Miss Peregrine
I was pretty sure that Fiestaware made a children's tea set but I am not finding it on the megachina website. Oh, they retired it in 2009.:glare:

abbeyej
Espresso cups! They make perfect child-sized tea cups. :)
WiseOwlKnits
We have this one from IKEA. It's actually really durable even though it is stoneware. The kids love it!

I figured I wouldn't be out much if he broke one or two. The cups are small - only hold about 1/2 cup - but a good size for small hands. That is what I did with my DS. Also, we were lucky enough to find some adorable tea cups at Disney in the China Pavilion and they were on clearance. DS loved them because they had the duck that is in so many of the Mandarin cartoons on them.
