I have to talk about visual spatial learners next week...

Don't assume they actually heard what you just told them even if they're looking you in the eye. Mine is getting much better, but often still needs me to say some things twice and I make her repeat.

 

Rote drill usually fails miserably when learning math facts. Mine learned by doing math all year round with only short breaks. At 10, she has known them for some time.

 

VS learners can be kinesthetic. Mine learns spelling words by writing them over & over and memorizes poems best by copying them a number of times.

 

There's more, but this is all I can think of off the top of my head.

I wouldn't have thought to include your first item, but that is so true. My VSL gets so caught up in the world inside her head that she doesn't hear the one out here. Thanks! :001_smile:
