plain jane
I'm looking to buy my dd a few books but we already own a ton of novels and I don't know what to get. Dd has enjoyed the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Hobbit, the Harry Potter books, 39 Clues series, the first 4 Percy Jackson books, and classic novels as well. She's a voracious reader and I'm out of ideas. I'm thinking of getting The Wizard of Oz but what else?? :bigear: I want more "fun" reading vs. educational or stuff like Horrible Science/Histories at this time. chickenpatty
Has she read The Doll People or The Meanest Doll in the World? Those make for very fun reading.

littlebug42
My daughters LOVE the Sisters Grimm Fairy Tale Detectives series by Michael Buckley. http://www.amazon.com/Fairy-Tale-Detectives-Sisters-Grimm/dp/0810993228/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1295471299&sr=8-1 My dd9 is also enjoying the Peter and the Starcatcher series that her Daddy has been reading to her. They are prequels to the Peter Pan stories. http://www.amazon.com/Peter-Starcatchers-Dave-Barry/dp/078684907X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1295471374&sr=1-
